“Let food be your medicine and medicine your food”
– HIPPOKRATES –
For a healthy and balanced diet, we should drink at least 1.5 litres of water per day and eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and preferably have 30-60 minutes exercise in the open air.
But who has time for a balanced breakfast, lunch with salad and vegetables, time to cook an evening meal and fit in a daily exercise schedule? Our body is increasingly subjected to stress and negative environmental influences. The main factors directly affecting our skin are UV-radiation, air-pollution, highly processed food, cigarette smoke and alcohol. The largest organ of our body, the skin, protects us against these harmful influences every day. Help your skin with valuable skin nutrients.

To care and protect skin from within, a targeted dietary supplementation is becoming even more important.
Conventional products for skin, hair and nails usually only contain synthetic vitamins and minerals. By contrast, the so-called secondary plant products (enzymes, flavonoids, catechins and anthocyanins) in vegetables and fruit contain considerably more added-value than purely vitamin and mineral dietary supplements, as our body can process the naturally occurring nutrients in the plants more easily.
For this reason, BLOOM BEAUTY ESSENCE® uses, amongst others, natural vitamins and minerals from nutrient-rich plants, fruits and algae.

Factors for skin aging

Skin aging factor no. 1
Oxidative stress
Protect your skin from free radicals!
Our skin is exposed to a multitude of influences: UV-radiation, environmental pollution, stress, unhealthy diet, cigarette smoke, medicaments and skin care products from synthetic raw materials are just a few examples. The consequences are accelerated skin aging and a pallid complexion.
How does oxidative stress occur?
Oxidative stress is caused by free radicals that damage healthy cells. Free radicals are oxygen molecules that are intrinsically unstable as an electron is missing from their chemical structure. To achieve stability, they take an electron from the next available stable molecule (e.g. of a skin cell). The previously stable skin-cell molecule becomes a free-radical itself, that degrades collagen in the skin, destroys living cells by oxidation and which can damage the genetic material. With the passing of time, the skin looks old and rough, has pigment spots, wrinkles and bags appear under the eyes if the body`s own protection system does not have enough antioxidants.
How do antioxidants work?
Antioxidants can stabilise free radicals by supplying them with the missing electron, without becoming unstable. The free radicals are therefore neutralised and no longer attack other cells in the body. Antioxidants serve as so-called radical catchers and thereby protect the skin. Antioxidants are used for this purpose in skin care and in nutrition, e.g. as super foods.

Mode of action of Bloom Beauty Essence®
Our skin has several layers. The upper layer is the so-called epidermis. This is where creams can become effective. The dermis is the layer below the epidermis and it contains collagen, elastane and moisturising polysaccharides. As collagen and elastane fibres begin to degrade, the need for additional antioxidants increases. For beauty from within, BLOOM BEAUTY ESSENCE® delivers exactly these:

1. Astaxanthin
Red pigment from algae and plankton – UV-protection
2. Amla-fruit
Rich in vitamin C – collagen formation enhances skin tension – anti aging
3. Gluten-free wheat extract
Collagen formation & regeneration – increases moisture content
4. Guava-fruit
Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant – Cell protection
5. Pomegranate

Beauty from within with superfoods
Super foods are nutrient rich foods that are considered particularly good for health and well-being. ORAC-values are often brought into association with super foods. ORAC is the abbreviation of Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity and is the unit used as a measure of the radical catchers in food. In short: the higher the ORAC value the greater number of free radicals can be neutralised. The daily requirement of ORAC units is given as between 5,000 and 7,000. Professor Jürgen Lademann, Head of the Research Group Skin Physiology, Berliner Charité
developed a skin sensor to determine the content of antioxidants in the skin. This sensor can show how much the condition of our skin is influenced by diet and stress. Amongst other things, it was shown that up to 30 % less oxidants are present in the skin of heavy smokers or those who get little sleep. In addition, it was shown that test subjects with a high content of carotinoids (contained in sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, honeydew melons and many other things) had a much smoother skin.

Beautiful skin

The skin is the window to the soul
7 tips for
Inner beauty
1. drinking against wrinkles
Many women forget to drink at least two litres of water throughout the day. If you drink a lot, your skin becomes firmer and firmer. Just 10 minutes after drinking, your blood circulation is better and your skin looks fresher.
2. 15 minutes power workout and endurance training
Exercise is good for body, soul and skin. Just a 15-minute workout in the morning is enough to start the day with a fresh complexion. In addition, regular endurance training acts like a Forever Young elixir on all areas of the body. The increased oxygen uptake improves blood circulation to the connective tissue. This makes the complexion rosy and prevents impurities.
3. Sleeping makes you beautiful
Sleep influences the regeneration, repair and self-healing power of the facial skin. Ensure at least 7 hours of undisturbed sleep a day. Persistent lack of sleep can be seen in people. The skin appears pale and wrinkles form. The eyes are usually swollen and dark circles around the eyes indicate a poor or too short sleep. The elasticity and resistance of the skin also decreases significantly. The fact that beauty sleep works and that one can counteract premature skin aging by sleeping sufficiently is well known.
4. Healthy nutrition
Treat yourself to an extra portion of fruit and vegetables from time to time. Iron and vitamin C help the protein carnitine to burn fat. Iron is found in fish and red meat, for example, but also in wholemeal products, spinach, chard, soybeans and cabbage vegetables. Vitamin C is abundant in citrus fruits, sea buckthorn, peppers, kiwis, currants and strawberries. Exotic fruits such as pineapple, papaya or mango are also the right choice. They contain enzymes that stimulate collagen production in the connective tissue.
5. Sun protection
The secret of beauty is: Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen! This rule applies to every age, every skin type and every season, because the sun shines in our faces all year round. A day cream with sun protection factor has long been a "must" even in European latitudes. If you want your skin to be as wrinkle-free as possible until old age, you will tan exclusively under a sunshade. Then why not protect against the sun from the inside out? For example with the astaxanthin contained in the microalgae.
6. Anti-Aging-Styling
Dark hair and make-up colours, be it black kajal, berry lipsticks or brown lipliner, make the face appear austere, old and tired. Do not experiment for long, but seek advice from a make-up expert or a professional make-up artist in a department store.
7. facial expression
Smile, please! Optimists look younger - according to a study by the University of Michigan. However, there are no creams or sprays for a good mood - the blasting must come from within. Of course, this does not always work at the push of a button. Regular exercise in the fresh air, sufficient sleep and meditation can help you to relax.
